SCHOOL AGE CLASSROOM-Before and After School

As an additional service to our families, we offer Before and After care for children attending elementary school.   Included in the Before and After School Program is transportation to and from area schools, after school snack, designated homework time, playground time and organized fun activities.

Full-Day child care is also available for school age students during Public School Teacher Work Days as well as some School Holidays and Closings due to inclement weather.

INFANT CLASSROOM

We use a primary care system in our infant room, allowing the child to have the same caregiver each day. This familiarity helps to nurture and develop a sense of trust that is essential for healthy growth and development.

In our toddler classroom we encourage early language development with the "Your Baby Can Read" program.  This interactive reading system introduces children to the whole language approach by using combinations of sight, sound and teacher/child interactions.  Your child will learn naturally, in a setting of smiles, laughter and fun-filled activities using this multi-sensory technique.

PRESCHOOL-THREE to FIVE YEAR OLD CLASSROOM

Our Preschool Program is a year round developmental program encouraging children to learn through discovery and play.

The Mother Goose Time curriculum is used in our pre-school programs.  This hands-on approach to learning will guide and build a foundation of knowledge in emotional, social and cognitive skills as well as the subjects of Math, Language Arts, Science, History, Geography, Practical Life, Art and Music.

Classroom learning centers are inviting and challenging with age appropriate lesson plans and activities to encourage curiosity and a desire to learn.   A new “Theme of the Month” keeps learning activities exciting and fun.  Children are given daily opportunities for free choice activities as well as outdoor play time.

Community skills continue to develop through group interactions, sharing and taking turns, leaning to use our words to solve problems, and developing self-calming skills.

As children progress, our goal is to emotionally, socially and academically prepare them for the transition to kindergarten, in a positive and nurturing environment.

The Mother Goose Time curriculum is continued with the emphasis on transitioning to kindergarten.  A hands-on approach to learning will guide and build a foundation of knowledge in emotional, social and cognitive skills as well as the subjects of Math, Language Arts, Science, History, Geography, Practical Life, Art and Music.

Your child will participate in a wide variety of stimulating educational and entertaining activities associated with the “Theme of the Month”. Days are filled with creative and imaginative activities, through art, science and cooking activities. Additionally, reading readiness, math concepts, social studies, geography, language arts, and practical life skills will be emphasized and presented developmentally in a variety of hands-on and engaging activities. Children are encouraged to participate in Show and Tell which emphasizes the Letter of the Week or the Theme of the Month. Once a month there is a Take Home Project designed for you and your child to discuss and enjoy creative quality time together.

TODDLER and TWO YEAR OLD CLASSROOM

'In our toddler/two-year old classroom a more advanced and structured learning environment is introduced. The “Theme of the Month” program encourages language development and curiosity. Lesson plans engage children in language arts, discovery science, early math skills, art, music, dance and fine and gross motor skills.

Daily activities mirror the “Theme of the Month” by involving children in "Things I Can Do", "My Neighborhood", "The Seasons of the Year" , circle time, ABC's, colors, numbers 1-10, shapes, and days of the week. Vocabulary is strengthened through nursery rhymes, songs and the introduction of basic Spanish words.

Community skills are encouraged through sharing and taking turns, leaning to using our words to solve problems, and developing self-calming skills.  Learning to drink from a regular cup and potty-training are started and encouraged daily.

Parents are given a Daily Child Report summarizing their child’s day and activities.
