TWO YEAR OLD CLASSROOM

In our two-year old classroom a more advanced and structured learning environment is introduced. The “Theme of the Month” program encourages language development and curiosity. Lesson plans engage children in language arts, discovery science, early math skills, art, music, dance and fine and gross motor skills.

Children are involved in daily activities that mirror the "Theme of the Month", such as "Things I Can Do", "My Neighborhood", "The Seasons of the Year", and "Circle Time". ABC's, colors, numbers, shapes, days of the week and vocabulary are strengthened through nursery rhymes, songs and the introduction of basic Spanish words.

Community skills are encouraged through sharing and taking turns, leaning to using our words to solve problems, and developing self-calming skills. Learning to drink from a regular cup and potty-training are started and encouraged daily.

Parents are given a Daily Child Report summarizing their child’s day and activities.

Your child will participate in a wide variety of stimulating educational and entertaining activities associated with the “Theme of the Month”. Days are filled with creative and imaginative activities, through art, science and cooking activities. Additionally, reading readiness, math concepts, social studies, geography, language arts, and practical life skills will be emphasized and presented developmentally in a variety of hands-on and engaging activities. Children are encouraged to participate in Show and Tell which emphasizes the Letter of the Week or the Theme of the Month. Once a week there is a Take Home Project designed for you and your child to discuss and enjoy creative quality time together.

SCHOOL AGE CLASSROOM-BEFORE and AFTER SCHOOL

As an additional service to our families, we offer a Before and After School Program for children attending elementary school.   Included in this program is transportation to and from area schools, after school snack, designated homework time, playground time and organized fun activities.

Full-Day child care is also available for school age students during Public School Teacher Work Days as well as some School Holidays and Closings due to inclement weather.

INFANT AND TODDLER CLASSROOM

The Infant and Toddler Program consists of two classrooms and a designated outdoor play area.

We use a primary care system in our infant room, allowing the child to have the same caregiver each day. This familiarity helps to nurture and develop a sense of trust that is essential for healthy growth and development.

In our toddler classroom we encourage early language development with the "Your Baby Can Read" program.  This interactive reading system introduces children to the whole language approach by using combinations of sight, sound and teacher/child interactions.  Your child will learn naturally, in a setting of smiles, laughter and fun-filled activities using this multi-sensory technique.
